Shark Navigator Vacuum | Review

The Shark Navigator Vacuum is a full-featured, compact, neatly-packed vacuum cleaner that is extremely lightweight and very easy to carry around from room to room in our homes. This vacuum will make cleaning your home a simple and quick task.

The Navigator NV22L can be used on either ceramic, hardwood and carpeted flooring. It is jam-packed with the latest vacuum technologies and attachments, enabling it to remove all the dirt and dust with the greatest of ease, even if located in hard to reach places. It uses two motors to guarantee that all the dirt, dust and other household debris are completely removed off the floor.

One of the top specifications that called our attention on the Shark Navigator Vacuum was the pet hair brush, mainly because of all the sales-pitch that came along with it on the infomercials, websites, etc… We know that pet owners are always looking out for a solution to get rid of the pet hair that gets everywhere in the house, and especially those that have carpet flooring. So we wanted to really test this feature. We tried it out with cat and dog hair on hardwood floors, sofas and finally on carpets (we made sure that it was really deep in the carpeting). Frankly we weren’t expecting so good of an outcome… the combination between the regular vacuum brush and the Navigator Power Nozzle really do an excellent job at removing animal hair. The suction/brushing action is even powerful enough to remove all the hair from a pet brush.

The other two attachments that come with the Shark Navigator Vacuum, and that we found to be particularly well thought out, are the crevice tool and the super-stretch hose. While the first one (thin and long) is just right for getting to corners, cracks, holes and behind larger furniture, the second is ideal for cleaning higher places in the house, like curtains and cupboards. And the best is that you don’t have to carry them around the house… it’s all attached to the main body of the vacuum.

Another great feature I that the Shark Navigator Vacuum weighs less than 15 pounds (with all attachment included) which makes it the lightest top performing upright vacuum in the market today. While some vacuum cleaners are big and bulky and take up too much space, this vacuum cleaner is so light and compact, it can be carried and stored just about anywhere you want. It has a really small footprint, so it occupies little floor space when stored away.

The Shark Navigator vacuum comes with lifetime filters, which means that they will never need to be replaced ever again! This is an ‘extra-bonus’ that the prospect buyer should keep in mind, since it will effectively help you save time and money in the medium-long run. The vacuum also comes with a lifetime belt.

Since this is also a bagless vacuum, the same applies to not having to invest in the dust bags as well. So you’ll never need to go through the hassle of having to go out and buy replacement bags. This too will save you money.

This particular vacuum cleaner is also designed in a way that it’s very ergonomic, which in other words means comfort for the user. Besides all the buttons and attachments being set in just the right places, this vacuum comes equipped with a comfort grip for very easy handling, even if for extended periods of time.

The Shark Navigator Vacuum NV22L has a 30 foot long power cord that really extends its work range without us having to constantly change between power outlets. If you are anything like us, you’ll understand how annoying and frustrating it is to have to always be going back and forth to switch the cord when you’re just trying to get things done as quickly as possible. For us these 30 feet of cord are fantastic.

Another time saving feature on the Shark Navigator Vacuum is the size of the dust cup. If you have a large house or if you just don’t get around to emptying the vacuum bag each time you finish cleaning the floors, then you’ll love the Navigator’s dust cup. It’s really big. This means you will be able to do the whole house in one non-stop swoop. And if the floors are cleaned every other day, this vacuum’s cup is large enough to only be emptied on a weekly basis.

How much will it cost me?

I have hardwood floors and I was looking for something that would thoroughly clean them, but without leaving scratches. I bought the Shark Navigator Vacuum with medium expectations because I’d had some bad experiences before with sales pitches that said marvels of the product and then they turned out to be crappy.
